This unusual approach was noticed worldwide\n– Maria was invited to the ABC\u2019s Good Morning America\nshow<\/a>, her work was mentioned by celebrities like Hugh\nLaurie<\/a>, Bill Bailey, Margaret Cho, Martha Steward. Maria has\ncooperated with well-known brands like Kit Kat<\/a>,\nLaiko\nCosmos Ltd<\/a>, Luna Bars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Since\nchildhood, Maria was always connected to art. She has graduated from Fine Arts\nfrom Manchester Metropolitan University with a Bachelor degree and from the\nUniversity of Central Lancashire with a Master Degree in Arts Health. After the\nstudies, Maria was not so sure about her future. She could have followed her\nparents\u2019 footsteps and run their business, but she wanted to go her own way and\nexpress her creativity. Maria was confident that with her love for art,\ncreativity and passion for painting, everything would work out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n So, in\nDecember 2016, after almost two years since the accidental spill of coffee,\nMaria Aristidou opened her own Victorian Era\ninspired art studio\nin Larnaca, Cyprus. The studio combines her personal\nhandicraft studio, which is her working space, handicraft supplies shop and a Gallery\/Shop, where Maria\npresents her artworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maria\nmainly works on her own in her studio, but she follows the opinions and needs\nof individual customers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n With\nMaria\u2019s creativity and curiosity for new art techniques, coffee is now not that\nmuch visible in her art \u2013 she is now creating butterfly domes and rhinestone\npaintings. To create such a piece, Maria\nneeds to use around 9.000-10.000 rhinestones, crystals and enamel pins. She also creates commissioned artwork in\nwatercolours on aquarelle, oil painting on panels or canvas and cake designs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Maria is continuously learning and trying new things, art techniques. She keeps an eye on new trends and has plenty of\nideas for the future \u2013 she is thinking about providing various art seminars and exhibition events\nto her customers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Maria has always believed in what she was\ndoing and kept proud of her work despite the challenges she has faced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n On the Facebook\npost<\/a>, dedicated for the International Women Day, Maria wrote that\nthrough the study and career years she has been getting negative and discouraging\ncomments from other people: \u201cYou\u2019re not talented enough to be an artist\u201d, \u201cYou\npaint with coffee? That\u2019s not art\u201d, \u201cWho do you think you are and you dream of\nopening your own gallery?\u201d. Maria still believed in what she was doing and was\nstrong enough to understand that this kind of comments was only meant to hurt\nher and make her lose her path. However, 20,600 followers on Facebook,<\/a>\nplus 22.300 followers on Instagram<\/a>\nprove that people love and appreciate Maria\u2019s art and work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n For those who want to start their own\nbusiness, Maria says: \u201cThings don\u2019t come to those who wait, but to those who\nwork hard and keep going.
